Trident_Cloud_2: 1,393 Credential Records Quietly Uploaded to Telegram

In March 2026, HEROIC analysts flagged a stealer log file distributed on Telegram under the name Trident_Cloud_2. The file contained 1,393 records taken from compromised U.S. endpoints, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the platform it was stolen from. The underscore naming convention and numbered suffix suggest this is part of an ongoing series, with Trident_Cloud_1 likely preceding it and further batches potentially following.

This type of upload receives very little public attention despite containing fully actionable stolen credentials. There are no headlines, no corporate press releases, and no notifications to victims. The data simply appears on Telegram and circulates to whoever is subscribed.


Why Trident_Cloud_2 Credentials Are Immediately Dangerous

Every record in the Trident_Cloud_2 file is a complete login package: an email address, a password in plaintext, and the URL of the site it was used on. There is nothing for an attacker to figure out. The work has already been done by the malware that collected the data. All that remains is to open the file and log in.

How the Trident_Cloud Series Gets Its Data

Trident_Cloud and similar series-named Telegram channels operate by deploying or aggregating stealer malware logs and distributing them in numbered batches to build a subscriber base. The malware itself infects victim devices through phishing emails, fake application downloads, or malicious browser extensions. Once running, it silently scans browser storage for saved credentials and session tokens, packages them into structured log files, and transmits them to collection infrastructure.

The collected logs are then organized and released in batches, with names like Trident_Cloud_1 and Trident_Cloud_2 signaling to subscribers that new data is being published regularly. The channel builds credibility through volume and frequency, attracting more subscribers and potentially converting free users into paid customers for higher-tier data.

Victims of this type of credential theft recieve no warning from any company because no company was breached. The malware operated on the victim's own device, outside of any corporate system, which means there is no legal disclosure requirement and no breach notification sent.
