In August 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file named Trident_Cloud2, uploaded to a Telegram channel, containing exactly 1,802 records. Each record paired an email address with a plaintext password and a web address captured from an infected device. Because these passwords are stored in the open rather than hashed, the only way to know whether your details are among them is to scan your email.

Why This Is Dangerous

A password that never needed cracking is a password that can be used the moment someone opens the file. Even a small log like this one carries real risk, since attackers often prioritize smaller, fresher files precisely because fewer people have noticed or reacted to them yet.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Password
  • URLs

The realistic consequences include fast account takeover on the exact services listed in the URLs, along with follow-on attempts against any other account sharing the same password. A file this size is easy for one attacker to work through by hand, which can make the response even faster than with a larger leak, since there is no automation delay before someone starts testing each entry.

A stealer log like this one is generated by malware sitting quietly on a victim's own device, pulling saved browser passwords and autofill entries before sending them back to whoever operates the malware. That is different from a company database breach, where the data comes from a business's servers rather than an individual's own machine, and different again from a combolist pieced together from many unrelated sources.

Confirm You Were Not Included

Scan your email to check whether it shows up in this file. If it does, change that password right away and scan the device you normally log in from for lingering malware.

This applies equally to personal and work email addresses stored in an infected browser.
