Dark Web Find: Universe_Logs Part 1 Holds 50,561 Login Pairs
HEROIC's dark web monitoring turned up part one of the Universe_Logs 8100 Cloud Logs set circulating with a 30 October 2025 date stamp. The file pairs 50,561 email addresses with plaintext passwords and the URLs where each credential was captured, the first slice of a larger multi part collection.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because the passwords sit in readable text rather than a scrambled hash, there is no technical barrier between an attacker finding this file and using what's inside it. Pair that with the captured URL and an attacker knows exactly where to try each login first.
What Was Exposed
- Email Addresses - the identifier tied to each stolen password.
- Plaintext Passwords - stored and shared in fully readable form.
- URLs - shows the destination site each credential unlocks, removing guesswork for anyone testing the login.
Why This Matters
A working email and password pair is immediately more dangerous than data that still needs to be decoded. If that password shows up again on a different account, the exposure spreads well beyond the original site tied to this file.
How a Stealer Log Like This Gets Built
Files like this come from malware installed on a device, often through a disguised download, that quietly records what's typed into browser login forms. It reports back to whoever controls it, and the stolen data gets sorted and packaged, in this case as the first of several parts, before being passed around on Telegram.
Is Your Address in This Part One File?
Run a scan your email to check HEROIC's records for a match. A hit means changing that password now, plus anywhere else you've reused it, since stealer logs travel fast once uploaded. It makes no difference whether the inbox involved is personal or a work account, the same exposure applies.
