In November 2025, a stealer log titled "phpMyAdmin_Logins" was posted to a Telegram channel used to distribute stolen credentials. The file contained 164 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the phpMyAdmin panel it unlocked.

Why Database Admin Logins Are a Bigger Deal Than They Look

phpMyAdmin is a tool website administrators use to manage databases directly, the kind that often store customer records, order histories, and other sensitive information. A leaked phpMyAdmin login isn't just an email and password; it's potential direct access to whatever database sits behind it.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses used to access phpMyAdmin panels
  • Plaintext passwords for those admin accounts
  • URLs pointing to the specific phpMyAdmin panel each login controls

Why You Need to Act on This Now

If one of these 164 logins belongs to you or your organization, the exposure goes beyond a single account. Someone with phpMyAdmin access can view, export, or alter entire databases, which means credential stuffing and account takeover are only the starting point. From there, an attacker could pivot into customer data, financial records, or anything else stored behind that login, opening the door to identity theft and fraud on a much larger scale.

How This Kind of Log Gets Collected

Infostealer malware infects a device, often through a fake download or malicious attachment, then quietly harvests every saved password and autofill entry in the browser, including admin panel logins like phpMyAdmin. The stolen data is packaged into a log file and shared or sold on Telegram, exactly where this file surfaced.
