A Stealer Log Named "CryptogoL12" Surfaced on Telegram

On August 19, 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file named "CryptogoL12" uploaded to a Telegram channel. The file contained 11,636 records pulled from infected devices, each one pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the site or service that login belongs to. Unlike data pulled from a single company's server, a stealer log like this one is a direct snapshot of credentials that were actively saved in the browsers of infected computers.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs are especially concerning because the credentials inside them are typically current and working at the moment of infection, not old or expired data. Every entry in "CryptogoL12" links a real email address to its plaintext password and the exact site it unlocks, meaning an attacker can log straight in without cracking, guessing, or resetting anything.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs identifying the associated sites or services

Why This Matters

With 11,636 credential sets exposed, this file gives attackers a solid pool of accounts to run through automated credential stuffing tools, testing each stolen login against banking sites, email providers, and other online services in bulk. A single successful match can lead to account takeover, unauthorized purchases, or identity theft, and because many people reuse passwords across accounts, one leaked login often opens the door to several others.

How the CryptogoL12 Stealer Log Was Built

Stealer logs like this one come from information-stealing malware that infects a device, often through a malicious download, cracked software, or a phishing link, and then quietly copies every saved password, autofill entry, and login session stored in the victim's browser. That harvested data is bundled into a "log" and shared or sold under a distinctive name, in this case "CryptogoL12," so buyers on Telegram and dark web forums can track and identify a specific malware batch.

Check If You Are Affected

If your device was ever infected by the malware behind this stealer log, your saved credentials could be sitting in this 11,636-record file right now. HEROIC's free dark web breach scanner checks your email address against a database of more than 400 billion leaked and stolen records, including stealer logs like this one, so you can find out instantly and lock down your accounts before someone else uses them.
