HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log tied to asiaonline.net that a Telegram user uploaded on 10 June 2026. The file held 5,402 records, each one pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the site where that login was used.

Why This Is Dangerous

This data did not come from a breach of asiaonline.net itself. It came from malware sitting on infected computers, quietly collecting saved logins as people used them. Because the passwords were stored in plaintext, anyone who gets hold of the file can read every password immediately, no extra steps required. Paired with the exact URL each login was captured on, an attacker has a direct map of which account to target and which password to try first.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each set of stolen credentials

Why This Matters

5,402 records is a small file by dark web standards, but every entry represents a real login that may still work today. Criminals run these credentials against other websites in what is known as credential stuffing, hoping that people reused the same password on their email, bank, or shopping accounts. If a match hits, the result is account takeover, and from there it is a short step to identity theft or direct financial fraud.

How Stealer Logs Work

Infostealer malware infects a device, often through a fake download or malicious attachment, then harvests everything saved in the browser: usernames, passwords, autofill data, and session cookies. It bundles this into a log file and sends it back to whoever controls the malware. These logs get bought, sold, and shared in Telegram channels within days, sometimes hours, of infection, which is why the data inside is often more current and more dangerous than an old database dump.
