Association Managers Exposed in the Association-Service.com Leak
HEROIC analysts found a stealer log tied to association-service.com that a Telegram user uploaded on 10 June 2026. The file contained 954 records, each combining an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the login page where that password was used.
Why This Is Dangerous
This is not a leak from a hacked company server. It is the output of malware that was already running on someone's computer, quietly recording every password typed or auto filled into a browser. Because the passwords were saved in plaintext, there is no encryption for an attacker to break through, the credentials are immediately usable. The linked URL tells an attacker exactly which login page to target with each stolen password.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs tied to each set of stolen credentials
Why This Matters
People who manage accounts for associations, nonprofits, or membership organizations often reuse a handful of passwords across several tools. If any of the 954 people in this log did the same, an attacker can take a working password from this file and try it against email, banking, or admin accounts elsewhere, a technique known as credential stuffing. A single successful match can lead to account takeover and, from there, identity theft or financial fraud.
How Stealer Logs Work
Infostealer malware infects a device through a malicious download, fake software update, or infected attachment, then copies saved browser passwords, autofill entries, and session cookies. It packages everything into a log file and sends it to the attacker automatically, with no need for the victim to notice anything is wrong. These logs then circulate on Telegram and dark web forums, sometimes within hours of infection, which is why the credentials inside are often still active.
