The BabaCloudLogs Leak Happened in 2025. 10,559 Logins Still Exposed.
BabaCloudLogs Leak From 2025 Still Exposes 10,559 Logins
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file labeled "BabaCloudLogs 250 Cloud Logs" that a Telegram user uploaded on September 28, 2025. The file contained 10,559 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the login page it belongs to. The upload itself is not new, but every one of those credentials is still sitting out there, usable by anyone who finds the file.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because these passwords were exposed in plaintext, there is no encryption for an attacker to break. Anyone who comes across this file, whether today or months from now, can pair each email, password, and URL and log in directly, with no cracking or guesswork required.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the associated login pages
Why This Matters
A dataset of 10,559 records is more than enough to fuel credential stuffing attacks, where automated tools test each stolen email and password pair against other popular sites. If a password was reused elsewhere, that account remains at risk of takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud, regardless of how long ago the original leak happened.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log comes from infostealer malware that infects a device through a malicious download, cracked software, or a phishing link. Once installed, it quietly harvests saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session details, then bundles everything into a log file. These files are commonly shared or sold on Telegram channels shortly after collection, and often remain in circulation long after the initial upload.
