A Stealer Log Named CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0 Surfaced on Telegram

HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file named CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0, uploaded to a public Telegram channel on March 27, 2024. The file contained 5,897 individual records pulled directly from infected computers, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the site or service that password unlocked. Unlike a stolen company database, this data came from malware sitting on real people's machines, quietly logging what they typed and where they typed it.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the passwords in this leak were captured in plaintext, straight from an infected device, there is no encryption standing between an attacker and the account. Anyone who gets hold of this file can log into the exact accounts listed, using the exact URL provided, without guessing or cracking anything first. If any of the 5,897 people in this log reused that password anywhere else, an attacker now has a ready made list of other accounts worth trying it against too.

What Was Exposed in the CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0 Dump

  • Email addresses tied to real user accounts
  • Plaintext passwords, stored and leaked with no encryption
  • URLs showing exactly which sites and services each login opens

Why This Matters

A combination of email, password, and URL is close to a complete access kit. Attackers use lists like this for credential stuffing, automatically testing each pair against banking sites, email providers, and shopping accounts to see what else opens with the same password. Anyone whose credentials appear in this log faces a real risk of account takeover, and depending on what those accounts control, that risk can escalate into financial fraud or identity theft.

How a Stealer Log Like This One Gets Made

A stealer log is the output of infostealer malware, malicious software that infects a device, quietly scrapes saved passwords and browser data, then uploads everything to a server the attacker controls. Once collected, logs like CRYPTON_LOGS 2.0 are frequently shared or sold in bulk on Telegram channels, where thousands of other attackers can download them for free or for a small fee. This is why stealer logs, even smaller ones like this 5,897 record file, spread so quickly once they surface.
