One File, 4,279 Passwords, One Telegram Channel

HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log named "TOR_LOG MIX 315PCS" uploaded to a public Telegram channel on March 27, 2024. Inside was a single file holding 4,279 records, each one an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the account it opens. No press release, no company name attached, just one file that quietly handed out thousands of working logins to anyone who found the channel.

Why This Is Dangerous

Zoom in on any single line of this file and the danger is immediate: an email, a password typed exactly as the victim entered it, and the precise website it unlocks. There is no hashing to crack and no ambiguity about where the credential works. That level of detail is what makes a stealer log more dangerous in the short term than a database breach, where passwords are usually scrambled and the exact site is not always obvious.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the associated accounts

Why This Matters

Multiply that one line by 4,279 and the scale becomes clear. Each record is a real person's account, and if any of them reused that password somewhere else, the exposure spreads well past the original site. Attackers routinely take a working login from a file like this and test it against email, banking, and shopping accounts, which is how a single stealer log turns into account takeover, financial fraud, and identity theft for the people caught up in it.

How Stealer Logs Like This One Are Made

TOR_LOG MIX 315PCS shows the same pattern found in most stealer logs. Malware infects a device, often through a pirated download, a fake update, or a phishing link, then quietly copies saved passwords straight out of the browser. Everything it gathers is packaged into a file and uploaded to Telegram channels built for trading stolen data, which explains why file after file in this category keeps the same simple structure: one email, one password, one URL, repeated thousands of times.
