The CRYPTON_LOGS Dump: 6,568 Stolen Login Credentials Hit Telegram
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file, labeled CRYPTON_LOGS 299PCS, uploaded to a Telegram channel on December 4, 2025. The file contained 6,568 records pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords and the URLs of the sites those credentials unlock.
Why This Is Dangerous
This log matches each stolen password to the exact website it opens, so an attacker knows precisely where to use it. With the passwords stored in plaintext and no hashing to break, anyone who gets hold of this file can log into the matching accounts immediately, without any cracking or guesswork.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the sites the credentials belong to
Why This Matters
Because each credential is already tied to its login page, attackers can go straight to account takeover instead of testing stolen logins across random sites. That direct path makes identity theft and financial fraud easier, particularly if any of the linked URLs lead to banking or payment platforms, and it makes this data more useful for credential stuffing than an unmatched list of emails and passwords.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log is produced by malware that infects a victim's device, commonly through a pirated program, a fake software update, or a malicious file attachment. Once running, it silently reads the passwords and site information saved in the browser and bundles it all into one file sent back to the attacker. That bundled file, called a log, is exactly what surfaced here as CRYPTON_LOGS, a direct export of saved logins shared or sold through Telegram.
