Your Data May Already Be Exposed: CRYPTON_LOGS Leaked 6,332 Passwords
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file, labeled CRYPTON_LOGS 299PCS, uploaded to a Telegram channel on December 3, 2025. The file contained 6,332 records pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords and the URLs of the sites those credentials unlock.
Why This Is Dangerous
This log ties each stolen password to the exact website it opens, so an attacker does not need to guess where to try it. Because the passwords are in plaintext with no hashing to break, anyone who downloads this file can log into the matching accounts right away, with no cracking required.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the sites the credentials belong to
Why This Matters
Because each credential in this log is matched to its login page, attackers can move straight to account takeover instead of testing stolen logins blindly across random sites. That shortcut makes identity theft and financial fraud far more likely, especially if any of the linked URLs point to banking or payment platforms, and it makes this data more useful for credential stuffing than a plain email and password list.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log is created by malware that infects a victim's device, often through a pirated download, a fake software update, or a malicious attachment. Once active, it quietly reads the passwords and site data saved in the browser and packages everything into a single file sent back to the attacker. That packaged file, known as a log, is exactly what surfaced here as CRYPTON_LOGS, a direct export of someone's saved logins shared or sold through Telegram.
