HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file called CRYPTON_LOGS 299PCS, uploaded to a public Telegram channel on April 4, 2025. The file contained 10,384 exposed records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials belong to, all harvested directly from infected devices.

Why This Is Dangerous

Telegram channels have become a common marketplace for stealer logs because they let criminals distribute stolen data instantly to a wide, anonymous audience. Once a file like this is posted, it can be downloaded by anyone within minutes, and because the passwords are plaintext and matched to their exact login URLs, they are ready to use immediately.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the associated login pages and accounts

Why This Matters

Anyone who reused one of these passwords elsewhere is at risk of credential stuffing attacks and account takeover. Combined with the linked email addresses, the data also fuels identity theft and financial fraud attempts against victims who may never know their information was ever exposed.

How Stealer Log Breaches Happen

Stealer logs like CRYPTON_LOGS 299PCS come from infostealer malware that infects a device through a phishing link, cracked software, or a fake installer. Once active, it scans the browser for saved logins and autofill data, then packages everything into a log tied to that machine. Criminals collect thousands of these logs and upload or sell them in bulk on channels like Telegram, exactly as happened here.
