HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file circulating on Telegram under the name DECEMBER 30 freshlogs1only paid, uploaded on 30 December 2023. The paid log pack contains 8,229 records harvested from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials open.

Why This Is Dangerous

This file did not sit on a public forum for long before it started circulating quietly among buyers willing to pay for it. That is what makes paid stealer logs different from free dumps: they tend to be fresher, less picked-over, and more likely to still work when someone tries them. For the 8,229 people whose credentials ended up in this pack, their login details were sold to whoever paid for early access.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the sites and services tied to each login

Why This Matters

Because the passwords are stored in plaintext and matched to exact login URLs, no cracking is required. Attackers can attempt to log in immediately, and if any of these users reused a password across other accounts, the exposure spreads to email, banking, or social media logins that were never part of this file. This is exactly the kind of data that fuels large-scale credential stuffing.

How Stealer Logs Work

Info-stealing malware infects a device, often through a cracked program, fake software crack, or malicious attachment, and then quietly copies saved browser passwords, autofill entries, and session cookies without the user noticing. The stolen data is packaged into a "log" and sold in batches like this one, sometimes for free to build a reputation, other times, as here, for a price to buyers who want first access to unused credentials.
