HEROIC analysts flagged this upload in late October 2023 while scanning Telegram channels that regularly host stealer log files. On October 23, 2023, an anonymous user posted a log file containing 2,161 records associated with Fire Cloud Free, a cloud services platform. The file included email addresses, plaintext passwords, URLs, and API host information. While the record count is on the smaller end for stealer log dumps, the inclusion of API infrastructure data caught our atention immediately. This was not just a list of login credentials. It was a map to the systems behind those logins.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs that include API host information are more dangerous than standard credential dumps because they tell attackers exactly where to go. Rather than trying thousands of endpoints hoping one works, an attacker with this file already knows which hosts are associated with which credentials. Add plaintext passwords on top of that and the path from file download to unauthorized access is a straight line. Even at 2,161 records, the potential for damage against cloud infrastructure is disproportionately high compared to the apparent size of the leak.

What Was Exposed

  • 2,161 total records
  • Email addresses linked to Fire Cloud Free accounts
  • Plaintext passwords (unencrypted and immediately usable)
  • URLs associated with active user sessions
  • API host information pointing to cloud infrastructure
  • Leak first appeared on Telegram on October 23, 2023

Why This Matters

Smaller cloud providers like Fire Cloud Free often attract users who are budget-conscious and may be running lean security practices. When credentials for these services end up in a stealer log, the users who are most at risk are often the least equipped to respond quickly. Any Fire Cloud Free user whose credentials appeared in this dump and has not changed their password since October 2023 is still exposed. The data has likely circulated through multiple Telegram channels and underground forums by now, reaching a growing audience of potential attackers.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer malware is installed on a victim's device through a phishing message, a fake software installer, or a malicious browser extension. Once active, it silently harvests everything stored in the browser, including saved passwords, autofill entries, session cookies, and cached API tokens. That data is packaged into a log file and sent directly to the attacker, sometimes within minutes. The attacker sorts the logs and uploads them to Telegram where they can be freely downloaded or sold. The Fire Cloud Free dump followed this patern exactly, and the speed with which these logs move means many victims had no warning before their credentials were already in circulation.
