2,161 Plaintext Passwords From the Fire Cloud Free Stealer Log Just Surfaced on Telegram
HEROIC analysts flagged this upload in late October 2023 while scanning Telegram channels that regularly host stealer log files. On October 23, 2023, an anonymous user posted a log file containing 2,161 records associated with Fire Cloud Free, a cloud services platform. The file included email addresses, plaintext passwords, URLs, and API host information. While the record count is on the smaller end for stealer log dumps, the inclusion of API infrastructure data caught our atention immediately. This was not just a list of login credentials. It was a map to the systems behind those logins.
Why This Is Dangerous
Stealer logs that include API host information are more dangerous than standard credential dumps because they tell attackers exactly where to go. Rather than trying thousands of endpoints hoping one works, an attacker with this file already knows which hosts are associated with which credentials.
