Inside the prdscloud Stealer Log: How 4,993 Passwords Leaked
A Free prdscloud Log Dump Surfaced on Telegram
HEROIC analysts found a stealer log labeled as free logs from prdscloud, uploaded to a public Telegram channel on March 27, 2024. The file contained 4,993 records, each combining an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the account it belonged to. The word free in the file's name is a warning sign in itself: whoever posted it was not selling the data, they were giving it away so as many people as possible could try the credentials.
Why This Is Dangerous
These passwords were pulled straight off infected devices in plaintext, meaning there is no hashing or scrambling standing in the way of an attacker who opens the file. Combined with the URL for each account, a criminal can go straight to the login page and try the credentials immediately. No brute forcing, no password cracking tools, just a direct attempt using data that was never meant to leave the victim's device.
What Was Exposed in the prdscloud Log
- Email addresses belonging to real account holders
- Plaintext passwords with zero encryption protecting them
- URLs pointing to the exact site or service each login unlocks
Why This Matters
A free, public dump like this one spreads faster and wider than data sold privately, since there is no cost stopping curious or malicious users from downloading it. Attackers commonly run these lists through credential stuffing tools that automatically test each email and password combination against banking, email, and shopping sites. Anyone whose credentials appear here and who reused that password elsewhere is exposed to account takeover, financial fraud, and identity theft.
How a Stealer Log Like This One Is Built
Stealer logs are produced by infostealer malware that infects a device and silently copies saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session information before sending it to whoever controls the malware. Once collected, that data is often packaged into a log file and shared for free on Telegram to build reputation within cybercrime communities, or as a sample to advertise larger paid collections. That is very likely what happened with this 4,993 record prdscloud file.
