The file contained exactly 8,662 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the login page it belongs to. This kind of dataset typically comes straight from infected devices rather than a hacked company database.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because these passwords are stored in plaintext, there is no encryption for an attacker to break. Anyone who obtains this file can immediately pair each email, password, and URL and attempt to log in, with no cracking or trial and error required.
