Your Passwords and Credit Cards May Be in LeakBase June Redline Logs
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log posted to a well-known hacking forum in June 2024, attributed to the actor zinel94 and circulated under the LeakBase platform. The log, titled June Redline Logs, exposed 295,609 records harvested by Redline infostealer malware. The leaked data includes email addresses, usernames, IP addresses, credit card numbers, plaintext passwords, and homepage URLs — one of the most dangerous combinations of data types seen in any single stealer log release.
Why This Is Dangerous
Redline is one of the most widely deployed infostealer malware families, specifically engineered to extract credentials and financial data from infected devices. This log combines plaintext passwords — which require no cracking — with credit card numbers and IP addresses, enabling immediate financial fraud, account takeover, and precise geographic targeting of victims. The presence of homepage URLs tells attackers exactly which services each victim was logged into, allowing them to prioritize access to banking portals, payment platforms, and email inboxes.

Why This Matters
Stealer logs of this type power three distinct categories of harm. First, credential stuffing: plaintext passwords paired with email addresses are loaded into automated tools that attempt logins across hundreds of platforms simultaneously, leading to account takeover at scale. Second, financial fraud: credit card data is used directly for unauthorized transactions or sold on carding forums. Third, identity theft: the combination of name, email, IP address, and financial data creates a comprehensive victim profile that can be used to open fraudulent accounts, apply for credit, or bypass identity verification systems. The 295,609 people affected face all three risks simultaneously.
How Stealer Logs Work
Redline and similar infostealer malware are typically distributed through phishing emails, malicious software downloads, fake software cracks, and compromised websites. Once installed on a victim's device, the malware silently extracts saved passwords from browsers, autofill data including credit cards, session cookies, and any credentials typed during an active session. This data is sent to a command-and-control server operated by the attacker, then bundled into logs. Operators like the actor zinel94 aggregate and distribute these logs through platforms such as LeakBase, where other threat actors purchase or download them for use in follow-on attacks.
