A Small Stealer Log Named Logs_9 June Turned Up on Telegram

HEROIC analysts found a stealer log file called Logs_9 June, uploaded to a public Telegram channel on June 9, 2025. The file was small compared to some of the larger leaks in this archive, containing 497 records, but each one is just as usable to an attacker. Every record pairs an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the account that password unlocks.

Why This Is Dangerous

Size does not determine risk here. Because these 497 passwords were captured in plaintext directly from an infected device, they can be used immediately, with no cracking or guessing required. An attacker simply matches the email, password, and URL and attempts to log in. If you are one of the 497 people in this file, your account is exposed the moment someone downloads it, not at some point in the future.

What Was Exposed in the Logs_9 June File

  • Email addresses tied to real accounts
  • Plaintext passwords stored with no encryption
  • URLs identifying the exact login page for each credential pair

Why This Matters

A file this size might look minor next to larger breaches, but for the 497 people affected, the risk is identical: account takeover, followed by credential stuffing against their other accounts, and potentially financial fraud or identity theft if the exposed login connects to a bank, email provider, or shopping account. Attackers do not discriminate by file size, they simply try every credential they can get.

How a Stealer Log Like This One Gets Created

Stealer logs are the product of infostealer malware, malicious software that infects a device and quietly copies saved passwords and browser data before sending it back to the attacker. Smaller logs like this 497 record file are often the output of a single infected machine or a short-lived malware campaign, then uploaded to Telegram individually rather than bundled with a larger collection.

Check If You Are Affected

A leak this size is easy to overlook, but the only way to know if you were caught up in it is to check. HEROIC's free breach scanner compares your email and passwords against more than 400 billion compromised records from stealer logs, combolists, and database dumps across the dark web. Run a free scan now and change any password the tool flags as exposed.
