HEROIC's threat monitoring systems identified a stealer log file titled "Fehu Free Logs" being distributed for free on Telegram in July 2026. The dataset contains 65,304 records of compromised credentials, and its free availability means the barrier to exploitation is zero. Any threat actor, regardless of skill level or budget, can download this file and immediately begin targeting the victims inside it.

Free Distribution Makes Plaintext Passwords Even More Dangerous

All 65,304 passwords in the Fehu Free Logs are stored in plaintext, visible and usable without any decryption. Combined with the fact that this dataset was shared freely rather than sold, the exposure risk is amplified dramatically. Premium stealer logs at least have a price barrier that limits distribution. Free logs spread virally across channels and forums, meaning the number of attackers with access to these credentials grows rapidly and unpredictably.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses — personal accounts that link to banking, shopping, and social media services
  • Plaintext Passwords — unencrypted credentials that attackers can copy and paste directly into login pages
  • URLs — the specific web services and portals where each credential was harvested

The Chain Reaction of Password Reuse

Among 65,304 compromised accounts, the probability of widespread password reuse is overwhelming. When an attacker finds that a victim's email and password work on one site, they systematically test it against every other major service. A single Fehu credential that unlocks a victim's email account can cascade into access to their bank account through password resets, their cloud storage through shared authentication, and their social media through linked logins. This chain reaction is why one stolen password is never just one compromised account.

Inside the Fehu Stealer Operation

The name "Fehu" points to a stealer-as-a-service operation that provides infostealer malware to affiliates who deploy it across victim devices. The malware infiltrates systems through trojanized applications, malicious email attachments, and compromised advertising networks. Once embedded on a device, it harvests credentials stored in browsers, records form submissions, and steals session tokens that can bypass multi-factor authentication. The collected data flows to central servers where it is sorted into log bundles. The "Free Logs" designation suggests this batch was released as a promotional sample to attract buyers to the Fehu service's premium offerings.

Check If Your Credentials Were Exposed

HEROIC has built a breach intelligence database exceeding 400 billion records from data breaches, stealer logs, and dark web marketplaces. Use the HEROIC breach scanner to check whether your email or password appears in the Fehu Free Logs dump. Because this dataset was distributed freely and widely, the urgency to check and change compromised passwords is especially high. Do not wait for signs of unauthorized access before taking action.
