Researchers Link EuropeClud Dump to 5,439 Stolen Logins
HEROIC's researchers identified a stealer log named EuropeClud uploaded to Telegram in July 2024. The file contains 5,439 records taken from infected devices, each combining an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL the credential was captured from.
Why the EuropeClud Leak Is Dangerous
Because this data was harvested directly from victims' browsers, the credentials in EuropeClud were active and working at the time of capture, not recycled from an old breach. Each entry pairs the password with its exact login page, giving an attacker everything needed to access the account immediately.
What the EuropeClud Log Contains
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the websites each credential unlocks
Why This Leak Matters to You
Stealer logs like EuropeClud are frequently traded among criminal groups who specialize in different types of fraud, meaning a single leaked credential can be used for account takeover by one buyer and identity theft by another. The more hands a log passes through, the higher the chance any given password gets tested against multiple services.
How the EuropeClud Stealer Log Was Created
Malware behind logs like EuropeClud typically infects devices through cracked software, fake installers, or phishing emails, then silently scans the browser for saved logins and autofill data before sending everything back to the attacker for packaging and resale on Telegram.
