Stealer Log Tied to scarlet.be Exposes 5,505 Records

HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file tied to scarlet.be that surfaced on a Telegram channel on June 10, 2026. The file contained 5,505 records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials unlock. The upload was freely accessible in the channel, giving anyone who found it instant access to the data.

Why This Is Dangerous

This data came from a stealer log, meaning it was harvested directly from an infected device rather than pulled from a hacked company server. That is why the passwords in this file are plaintext instead of hashed or scrambled. Combined with the matching URL, an attacker can go straight to the correct login page and try each of these 5,505 credential pairs.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the accounts the credentials belong to

Why This Matters

With 5,505 records exposed, the chances are high that some of these people reused a password on other accounts. Attackers rely on that habit for credential stuffing, using one leaked password to try logging into email, banking, and social media accounts. That can quickly lead to account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud.

How Stealer Logs Work

A stealer log is created when malware, often hidden inside a cracked program, fake download, or malicious attachment, infects a device and quietly collects everything saved in the browser: usernames, passwords, autofill data, and browsing history. That data is packaged into a log file and sent back to whoever controls the malware, then sold, traded, or uploaded to Telegram channels like the one where this file was found.
