The ZeusLogsOwner Stealer Log Exposed 23,018 U.S. Accounts
On June 18, 2025, HEROIC's DarkHive team identified a stealer log file shared on Telegram under the name ZeusLogsOwner. The file exposed 23,018 records tied to accounts in the United States, making it one of the larger single-file leaks in this recent batch. Each record contained an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the service that credential belonged to.
Why the ZeusLogsOwner Leak Is Dangerous
Every password in this file was captured and stored as plain, readable text. There is no hash to crack and no encryption to break. Anyone who obtains this file can try each email, password, and web address combination immediately, with no technical skill required. That makes ZeusLogsOwner a ready-made toolkit for account takeover at scale.
What Was Exposed in the ZeusLogsOwner File
- 23,018 compromised account records
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs identifying the exact services targeted
Why This Matters: 23,018 Accounts at Risk
A leak of this size gives attackers a large pool of working credentials to test across banking sites, email providers, and online retailers, a technique called credential stuffing. Because so many people reuse the same password on multiple accounts, one exposed login from the ZeusLogsOwner file can open the door to email takeover, financial fraud, and identity theft well beyond the original site where the password was captured.
How the ZeusLogsOwner Stealer Log Was Created
Stealer logs like this one come from infostealer malware that infects a victim's device, often through a phishing link, a pirated software download, or a fake browser update. Once running, the malware quietly extracts saved usernames, passwords, and autofill data from the browser and sends it to the attacker. The stolen data is then bundled into a log file, named after the operator or channel distributing it, and posted to Telegram for other criminals to use or resell.
