HEROIC's dark web monitoring team first spotted a listing calling itself txtbaseportal FREE NOV, being handed out for free on a Telegram channel. Curious about the offer, analysts pulled the file and confirmed it on November 24, 2025 as a stealer log holding 1,084,670 stolen records, each one an email address paired with a plaintext password and the login URL it opens.

What Analysts Found When They Looked Closer

The word 'free' in the file name was not a typo. Whoever compiled this log chose to give it away rather than sell it, which almost guarantees wider distribution. Once a dataset this large is free to download, more people grab it, and more people attempt to use the plaintext passwords inside before victims even know they were compromised.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated login URLs

Why This Matters

Over one million plaintext credentials being freely shared is a serious problem. Anyone who reused a password from this list on another account is exposed to credential stuffing, which can quickly escalate to account takeover on email, banking, and shopping sites, followed by identitiy theft or financial fraud.

How Stealer Logs Like This One Get Made

Stealer malware spreads through cracked software, malicious ads, and phishing emails, then quietly harvests saved passwords straight from the victim's browser. Operators collect logs from thousands of infected devices and combine them into one massive file. Giving a portion away for free, like this txtbaseportal listing, is a common tactic to build a reputaton before selling the rest.
