Analysts Tie Satanic’s ULP Part 2 Sept #1 to 2.3 Million Leaked Credentials
HEROIC analysts documented a stealer log appearing on BreachForums on September 12, 2024, posted by a threat actor operating under the name "Satanic" and labelled Private Satanic 10M ULP Part 2 Sept #1. The dataset contained 2,302,642 unique records, each consisting of an email address, a plaintext password, and the homepage URL associated with those credentials. This release marked the opening installment of a second ten-part series from the same actor, who had posted an initial series of ten logs just one week earlier. The full scope of the Part 2 series is documented across multiple entries, including Part 2 Sept #2, Part 2 Sept #5, Part 2 Sept #6, and others linked below.
With 2.3 million plaintext email and password pairs available to any forum member who downloaded this file, the exposure window for affected users opened immediately. Attackers do not need to crack or decode anything: each record is a ready-to-use credential. The inclusion of homepage URLs adds another layer of targeting capability, showing exactly which website the credential was captured from, allowing attackers to focus their efforts on high-value services such as banking, payment processors, and corporate portals rather than randomly testing credentials across thousands of sites.

Why This Matters
The first release in a series sets the tone for the entire campaign. By posting Part 2 Sept #1 alongside nine other logs on the same day, the threat actor demonstrated both the volume of data they controlled and their willingness to distribute it broadly. For affected individuals, the risk extends well beyond the single service tied to the homepage URL in each record. Password reuse means that one exposed credential can unlock accounts across email, social media, financial services, and workplace tools. Identity theft, unauthorized financial transactions, and account hijacking all become viable attack paths for anyone who downloads this dataset.
How Database Breaches Work
Stealer logs originate from infostealer malware that compromises individual computers rather than attacking a single organization's servers. Once installed, often through phishing links or bundled software downloads, the malware silently records login credentials as users type or autofill them in their browsers. It captures the associated site URL alongside the username and password, building a detailed credential profile for each infected device. These logs are then aggregated by the threat actor, organized into distributable files, and released or sold on forums like BreachForums. Because the malware intercepts the data at the point of entry, before any server-side processing, the passwords are stored and transmitted in plaintext.
